A large credit to pursuing my interest in art goes to my mom. Ever faithful in making a big deal in any creation I did. She insisted that I put my name and sign each and every little piece of work, even as a child. She’d frame and hang anything and everything. It’s hard to do any work with art at all and not think of her.

Art is standing with one hand extended into the universe and one hand extended into the world, and letting ourselves be a conduit for passing energy.

A page to acknowledge where true support comes from and to link back to those who have entrusted me to be a part of their vision for a project, commission, or gift idea.

John Dolphin – John, naturally not been around me as long as my mother, however, no less supportive. He critiques makes suggestions, builds me an easel, and often is my financial support. Art supplies aren’t cheap. He is also my teacher and mentors with the camera. Visit his page to see his photos.

Simona Milea – A master painter, she loves watercolors too. She has been an inspiration and generous with little gifts of paper and paint. Simona is a Romanian firecracker, full of life and energy. She is also a very detailed and complete watercolor painter.

Anthony G. Cirilla – A writer who has allowed me into his kingdom to help color his illustration ideas or create images like my favorite one, for his story series, a map! I am pleased to say that he has kept me busy for two stories and there are more to come. This man is a wonderful writer, I even just like to read his Facebook posts. He’s extremely clever!

Camarie Cirilla – Approached me to illustrate her story, Embers of Faith. Since I have known Cammy since she was a little girl, I could tell the allegory had much of herself in it. I knew how to make her main character soon after reading the tale of Faith.

Kiko Ruiz – Or as I came to know him, “Gatet.” In the early stages, he really encouraged my art and even began writing Laura stories for me to illustrate. We wrote a few together and the Geocities where our stories were posted collapsed. This is one I have recovered and hope to find the rest soon. It takes a special person to challenge a girl determined to keep her art hidden under the bed.
