With Georgie in Baltimore

Naturally one of the places I had to take Georgie was downtown Baltimore and its Harbor.

We lunched at Phillips Seafood and had some of their award winning crab cakes. Georgie liked both the crab cakes and the local beer. The dessert cart looked good, but we were stuffed.

Georgie was interested in seeing the Aquarium, so after lunch, we were off to the National Aquarium.

The first place we headed was the Australian section of course!

We got to see wonderful creatures from Australia…

Then we did something I’ve never done before in all my years in the Baltimore area, go up to the 27th floor on top of the World Trade Center! We could see the Aquarium from above.

This city attraction featuring a spectacular 360-degree panoramic view of Baltimore has stationed binoculars and photo-map guides to help guests learn about local attractions, hotels, sites and neighborhoods. Located on the 27th floor of the World Trade Center, the world’s tallest pentagonal building is home to the only Baltimore attraction to offer an awe-inspiring view of Maryland’s urban center.

Top of the World has expansive windows that frame the Inner Harbor, the surrounding city and beyond to the Chesapeake Bay.

The views were great! (or gorgeous as Georgie would say)

After our trip from “The Top of the World” we went down to the pavilion for souvenir shopping and maple nut fudge! Georgie liked that as well.

It was a lovely day. I really should go to Baltimore more often.
