The Pinnacles

One of the places on my list that I wished to visit was The Pinnacles.

The Pinnacles are located in the Nambung National Park about 20 kms south-east of Cervantes and about 270 kms north of Perth.

With countless thousands of limestone pillars rising up out of the bright yellow sand, this area consistently exceeds the expectations of first time visitors.

No one is sure how they formed, but Mike from Pinnacles.com.au says:

There are several misconceptions about the Pinnacles. Despite what some guides/operators claim, they are not petrified trees and fish never swam between them. They are a relatively recent geological phenomenon that is best explained on site.

After our tour through the Pinnacles, we went to a nearby beach to put our feet in the Ocean.
