The Ferry To Rottnest
Last weekend we booked a ferry to Rottnest Island and I have to admit, I was very excited about going.
To get to the island, one option is the ferry. We chose to leave from Perth. The ferry ride takes 90 minutes.
We got there early, and we got a chance to get a good look at the ferry we would be taking while waiting to board.
Almost 30 minutes waiting after boarding, I am still smiling and very excited still to go to Rottnest. Our tickets at least gave us complimentary morning tea.

As we sailed along the river, I couldn’t stop being amazed at the amount of jellyfish in one body of water. John assured me that their jellyfish don’t sting.

number of recreational boats over the same period is predicted to increase by 82%.
I don’t know where they are going to put them all, but they are working on it.
We had a stop in the busy port of Fremantle.
Fremantle Harbour is Western Australia’s largest and busiest general cargo port and an important historical site.
The ferry was full of people, so we had companions. These two ladies, they had just come from a cruise around Australia and enjoying Perth for a few days. They had stories of their world tours. It was funny however, how speechless they were when one showed me her broken sunglasses and I brought out an Eyeglass Repair Kit
from CVS. Cute. They were sure to tell me when John went to get the tea how cute we were together.
