Sunday, we still went hunting for orchids, but we stayed close to home. Going by a hint given in the orchid group on Facebook, we went to look for Beak Orchids, and did we ever find some, hundreds of them! These orchids produce large, fleshy, heart-shaped leaves commonly called ‘Elephants’ Ears’.
The first Sunday in September is Father’s Day in Australia. After a wonderful Father’s day message at church attached with some Tim Tams for all the dads, we went to Dad and Iris’s house. We showed up just as John’s son’s Jeff and Jamie were also arriving.
Alejandra went to church with us for both morning and evening services. In between the services we did some watercolor painting!
