We Revisted the Queen of Sheba
After our visit to Depot Hill, we decided to go back to Eneabba to see if the Queen of Sheba orchids were open.

Because of record-setting rains in Western Australia, the wildflowers have been predicted to have a promising spring. Even though we are still in winter, it was very much looking like spring our four-hour drive north…
Continuing from the Coalseam Conservation Park blog…our drive. So the drive back home was in and out of wet weather, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying our first weekend outing and taking in all the Western Australian scenery. A drive in the Western Australian countryside, some might say...
Today, John and I went somewhere different. We actually made a few stops down the coast. One that was rather beautiful was Point Peron. From the video, you can tell how windy it was today.
Weekends are kind of like spin the wheel and see where we go this time. Dwellingup became our next destination. Dwellingup is an Aboriginal name said to mean “place of nearby water”. Which I will buy that, there was lovely water ‘nearby’ for sure.
After Nannup, we took a different road towards home. Not sure if the “magic” is in the mushrooms that grow there.
We went back to look for wildflowers, but this time Jamie and Naomi went with us. We did come across these inch ants… And later we met this little critter, a Bobtail Lizard. There is hardly a way, even in photos to describe how many everlastings there were and their...

Some scenes of what there is to see, driving through the Wheatbelt of Western Australia. We even got to see some Everlastings. The hills were colored with Patterson’s Curse. The setting sun put a glow on the Salmon Gums. A perfect end to a perfect day together.
Leaving Toodyay, it wasn’t long we were stopped again. A cute place, lush and green.
It was time to leave the Convent, and the day promised rain. Perhaps we would go straight home or make stops between showers? It seemed uncertain because of the rain. A girl can dream can’t she? And when I do, I usually dream BIG.
A Drive around Perth Today, after a rough night, I decided I should probably go to see a doctor. Turned out, one could see me as early as 12:30 in the afternoon. So we did some food shopping while waiting, and as luck would have it, we ran into John’s...
