Who Says You Can’t Go Home Again
“Our home, our family is a circle of strength of love with every birth and every union the circle grows.”
As always-tragic to be away from John, always good to be in the home of my childhood and with my children, and their children.
On this return, I didn’t even have a chance to get jet lag, I was hit with illness that would last my whole time home (and back).
In spite of being very sick, I sure didn’t want to miss a moment….
For example:

That moment when you realize there is your oldest child holding your [very happy] youngest grandchild, and how much you love them and everyone in between.

I must have stood in the doorway watching him for 30 minutes trying to catch and lose his shadow. How lovely not to have missed this.

Then Silas started a new tradition, bringing his story books down to me and reading me stories by the chapter. Followed by much map readings and explanations of certain phrases quoted in the book. So treasure this new custom he started with his Nana.

Then I was given the honor of photographing this cheerful little princess for a Christmas theme photo.

Mireia’s older sister poised and beautiful. How sweet Rubí made this Christmas for me. I was missing John and my mom so much. Rubí made sure to fill almost every moment, she kept me so busy.
I am so grateful to be able to go back home again…
