In the night, we knew there would be fireworks, but John kept warning me not to expect much. (I was so impressed by the fireworks on Australia Day).
The evening’s activities were so much fun, Oz Rocketman and Horsepower, that it didn’t matter to me if the fireworks were good or not, it was an enjoyable evening.
But John undersold the fireworks…they were GREAT. Different from Australia Day but I was impressed. I was sorry we didn’t bring our tripods, so the photos are not so impressive.
The IGA Fireworks Spectacular in the Peters Drumstick Main Arena were fantastic.
They were coordinated with music.
Even the smaller ones on the field were just precious.
In truth, this wasn’t an easy event to watch. We were seated up close, and they were things to watch in the arena below and high above us straight up into the night sky.
They did this each night of the Royal show for a week. I would have gone every night if I could.
One example of the fireworks high above our heads.
John had better luck taking photos with his fisheye lens, apparently the tripod isn’t necessary.
It was a colorful and fun display.
…and John soon learned…
…the only thing more lit up than the fireworks that night…
…was the big smile on his wife’s face, as she is a fireworks nut. Once again, he kept asking, how old are you again?
