As an American, put all the best State Fairs together and you’ve got the Perth Royal Show. Now this year, I didn’t want to do to John what I did last year, and that was make him go twice….but as we pulled up to the parking lot, I realized that I had left the battery to my camera on the charger at home. This was a real low moment to start our day. This also led to two visits to the Perth Royal show. Again. So this and the next few blog posts will be a combined synopsis of our two days at the show. 🙂
In the car, looking at the long day of events we want to go to. So much going on at once at the show, it’s good to have a plan.
Always good food at the show.
Showbags are a big deal at the Show. Last year I couldn’t believe how much people spent and piled up the show bags in literal shopping carts. But this year, I joined them. We decided on the Tim Tam show bag. I felt very Australian. 🙂
So this year, as our ‘do something different’ was to ride the chair lift, a high moment, if you will.
Don’t let this smile John captured fool you. It was about then I remembered I am scared to death of heights, and made worse when there is nothing below my feet!
It’s OK, John knows how to distract me. 🙂
I tried to relax and enjoy the view, which is why, after all, we took the ride in the first place.
Why not a view of the cows below?
Here I am, relieved to back both feet back on solid ground!
