We had a quiet 4th of July this year.
We had some tennis watching time, swimming, and cookout. Alejandra and Miquel played tennis. After that, a good American tradition over a fire, Smores.
A fire and Smores
Alex enjoys Smores
Enric stokes the fire.
We decided she earned the smores after the tennis workout. 🙂
First a stop at 7-11 for Slurpees! (Photo by Laura)
Alejandra learns with this family, the ride there can be half the fun! (Photo by Laura)
We went to Annapolis to see fireworks at the Naval Academy Bridge. This is the view of the Severn River.
The area was soon crowded.
The Severn by boat must be lovely. 🙂
A game of cards before the fireworks start.
Enric reads Rubà a story.
Then the fireworks began!
The fire works were lovely this year.
Alex enjoyed watching Laura and I setting up the tripod, using the remote, and how we experimented with settings.
Laura and I shared the tripod, so we had to take turns.
We were kind of far from the action, so, I had to use my long lens, which we also had to share! Not much noise this way though, for the children that is, so that was good.
It was a hot, sticky, and humid evening, but worth it, it was a sweet night. Best yet, we were home by 10 PM.
