Nana Day with Silas
Miranda was trying to think of ways to encourage Silas to continue reading during summer vacation. She had a great idea to have Silas pick some things he’d like to do, and after a certain amount of reading completed, he would get a coupon for those selected activities he wanted to do.
One of those items was to have Nana alone time. A Nana Day.
I was so touched. He made me feel so special.
Our day started with some World of Warcraft and his toon Silitheus did some quests.
Silas then decided we should go to the park. I loved how he opened the door for me as we climbed into his daddy’s truck. What a gentleman.
We then came home for a swim and a rousing game of Battleship. At one point in the game, he made a ‘hit’ but his next guess was a miss. It didn’t make sense to him that he had missed, he didn’t realize that he was guessing horizontal and I had aligned the ship vertical. He then declared, “You can’t bend the ships, Nana!”
What a treasure Silas is, making me feel like a prize. Love this boy so, he is a blessing to me in so many ways.
