Moving Photos with Remini
Thanks to an ad on Facebook, I have discovered an app that enhances photos, but the main feature that attracted me was the face animator.
The examples given were of old photos bringing past presidents or famous people in the past, to life, with smiles and the eyes blinking. I immediately thought of my mom’s picture. It worked great. (See the movie below). It’s all very Harry Potter-like.
Now some people have told me they have experienced issues using the Face Animator portion of the app. So there are some tips I can share that have helped me.
- The app works best with a photo where the subject is facing the camera directly. Shots with odd angles don’t work so well, which makes sense.
- Another tip, if there is a lot going on in the photo, such as a cluttered background, it might help to crop it in closer, and you might have more success using the face animator.
Besides the Face Animator, it has other useful features:

So the Before and After Movie:
So here is the video showing the still photo first and then the Remini produced moving picture. Some are people in the family history I’ve not met, but Remini makes them come alive. Seeing my mom so young and animated, to me, was adorable. I even picked a few of a very young me and also included my senior picture. The photo I thought turned out the best, was the one of a young John. See what you think:
