John’s Birthday

My happy birthday boy.

My happy birthday boy.

John’s birthday weekend started with a serene and pleasant sunset, and went straight to hectic after that. We were having guests over all weekend – not completely planned that way, but it happened.

After dinner with Georgie one night, coffee with Dad and Iris after church on Sunday, we had the end celebration with John sons.

Having events isn’t easy for me here in Australia yet, the kitchen still doesn’t feel totally mine, and it’s not stocked with supplies, spices on hand, and even small things you don’t think about until you need them.

I suppose if we keep asking people over, little by little I will acquire those things I need. It didn’t help during the preparations the water went out and the oven wouldn’t light. Thank heavens neither lasted for a long time.

No worries, let's eat ice cream cake. :)
