With everything in bloom, I decided to get out my macro lens and take some photos of the flowers in the garden.
It’s a very sweet lens, I should do macro more.
Hard to believe that this dianella flower is as small as my fingernail.
Our dolphin plant is slowly getting bigger.
A close up of our pink pimelea, which is located at the end of our driveway.
Kunzea ericifolia. or Spearwood.
A wider view.
Scarlet Kunzea baxteri
The Geraldton Wax blooming in the back yard.
It’s still just little, our tiny olive tree in the back yard. Just so you know this wasn’t planted because I like olives. This was planted to attract parrots. We often buy plants with birds in mind.
The lemon tree is starting to bloom.
It’s really hard to get my head around that there are blossoms and lemons on the tree at the same time, but that’s the kind of lemon tree it is. It truly is the happiest thing.
John likes his yard to have native plants in it. So I didn’t have to twist his arm too much when asking for an everlasting garden in our back yard. I can see them through the window in the breeze while washing dishes, and I have put myself a chair out the back to sit near them. Mostly I end up weeding!
John even planted some away from the everlasting patch into the BBQ.
They are so lovely clumped together.
Sometimes to me, they appear almost dreamlike.
I got excited to see this one that looked quite different from the others, half and half. This was unusual to say the least. I fancy it a lot and even asked the seed company how to save its seeds.
I haven’t included the banksias from the garden, maybe another time 🙂
