I am now home from the hospital having had shoulder surgery, medicated, branded a fall risk, and hooked up with a torture device that will now be part of my everyday life for awhile. The doctor seemed happy with the surgery and so did my physical therapist today. Oh yes, they didn’t give me one day to even rest. 🙂
I think this is done for all patients who are about to be put under anesthesia, but when they snapped this on my arm, I couldn’t help but say to them, “Gee this is the same reason I am here in the first place!” Laura and I couldn’t help but share a laugh as she got out her new cell phone to take her own photo, citing, “This is something Mama needed all her life!”
The “comfy chair of the Spanish Inquisition?” No, just a new part of my life which I am told should be done for my recovery for 20 minutes 4 times a day. Silas and Rubi are fascinated by it, and I guess it is kind of interesting.
A bright spot in my day, flowers were delivered from my church family. How touched I was, and how blessed they made me feel. In spite of the ordeal, I know it could have been so much worse.
