We enjoyed last weekend so much, we made another escape back to the country. (Click on images for a larger view)

One reason is I just love getting away from the suburbs and enjoying the lush, green hills at this time of year.

We stopped to do our orchid and wildflower hunting, but there was always time to take in the panoramas of the countryside.

The clouds were playing the game too, but hiding some of the flowers we were looking for, as they closed without the sun.

If your going to go wildflower hunting you have to be prepared to go on dusty roads like this…

Or be prepared to eat the dust of the occasional passerby…

…and meeting the locals…

..or be ready to duck out of the way of the crop-duster.

…or stop and take a few dozen photos.

Of course, you can always take a break from looking down low at the flowers, and make your way up high to a lookout.

Like this one from Mt. O’Brien.

In your trek, you should always be careful of broken glass…

…and be ready to plan a permanent escape, and dream of your own place in the country…

We can dream.

The farms sure look different to an American eye.

Lastly, you should always be ready to not get home til way past the sun going down.
