English Tea Set
After more years than I care to disclose, I finally got to use the English Tea Set that Petra gave me long ago.
Unsure how to even use it, John taught me what each item was for in my tea set, with a few bits of English Tea wisdom such as, ” take the teapot to the kettle and not kettle to the pot.” The water should be actually boiling at the moment of impact, which means that one should keep it on the flame while one pours. Also, “one teaspoon of tea for each cup and one for the pot.”
One of the reasons that I finally got out the tea set was Laura Slattery. She invited me to a tea party tasting, and I just had to buy two! I chose Carrot Cake Rooibos (my favorite so far) and the Pumpkin Nut Spice. Unfortunately for my family I didn’t buy the scones and amazing creams that Tealightfuls offers as well!
Today I received my purchase and tried it out right away. Silas, Laura, and Miranda joined me. Silas was rather amazed at the whole tea making, tea serving process.
Petra, sorry it took me so long! Love it!
Barb,
I’m so excited to have had such an important part in your new tradition! I, too, love the Carrot Cake Rooibos! My only suggestion is when you are preparing a green tea, you want to take the kettle off the fire just as the water begins to boil for the best taste! Cudos to John for his sage advice. 🙂
I think I would like to try the Pumpkin Nut Spice – if only for the “nut” inside 🙂
