We’ve been to Coalseam Conservation Park a handful of times before, but we read that the flowers were ready to burst open up there and after about 5 rainy days straight in Perth, it was very enticing to go 4 hours north just to escape the wet and windy conditions and get some sun.
Not too far up the road, we could already see canola in the distance. There was plenty to see we would soon find out, in our drive north. I used to not like the smell, but now I am used to it. To the point I prefer to buy margarine only with canola in it.A four hour drive in Western Australia is going to have some long, straight roads.I liked as we drove through a town, with a train, an intersection, a general store and some other things, canola fields were still boldly in the background. Finally entering Coalseam…John is still the little boy that likes to go through puddles. It didn’t take long to see the everlastings.I tried a panorama as no one photo could show them all off.As I stand in the middle of a million flowers, a look back to our truck. My new favorite combo, pink everlastings and canola! We just kept driving, and the flowers were endless.Another fun puddle for John to drive throughIf you look as far back o the background of this photo, you can see how far back the flowers keep going. This wasn’t in just one spot, it was like this riding around everywhere.
Finally, I gave up trying to capture the immenseness of all the flowers in photos, I got out my phone to get a movie…It was a two day ordeal to upload to YouTube. Enjoy
