Birds of Our Backyard

It’s winter here in Perth but in between rains, it’s fun to see the visitors to our bird bath in the yard. This is a Willy Wag-tail. I am sure our backyard is its home.

Visiting frequently are some wattle birds like this one.

The wattle birds can really put on a bathing show.

Water truly goes everywhere.

Sometimes some different bird noises can be heard, and when I go to investigate, it’s usually Lorikeets. They don’t seem to mind if I get close.

Now technically this was in the front yard on our Silver Princess Tree, this is a black faced Cuckoo-shrike.
