Anniversary: Spiders and Snakes

Continuing on with our anniversary celebration, it was a day for spiders and snakes.

Now I know my husband is familiar with Jim Stafford’s song, Spiders and Snakes, and he should know that wedding anniversaries should be filled with romance, but he took me to a reptile house anyway.

Specifically we went to the Naturaliste Reptile park.

Later in the day, we saw many spider webs on the side of the road. John put the brakes on, turned the car around and parked so we could see the spiders up close.

There were so many we really couldn't count them.

These spiders can get quite large. Females up to 40mm.

Well I guess I do…from a healthy distance. I had my long lens on. 🙂
