A Visit to La Tasca
As an extra pre Christmas treat, I took everyone to La Tasca, located in Baltimore’s inner harbor.
Around the holidays, my children grew up enjoying tapas, and I wanted to continue the tradition since we were all together.
Silas was seated and looked ready for some different things to enjoy.
He started it off with his very first lemon!
Enric and Miranda look over the menu…
Miranda decided on a mini Paella Valenciana
and Brocheta de Gambas y Vieiras.
Enric opted for the Calamares and Queso Manchego
Boquerrones was my choice.
 The desserts were yummy.

Then things just got silly!
My Review of La Tasca:
La Tasca would very much like to be like Jaleo located in DC and Bethesda. It never reaches that caliber of service and tapas offerings. First, Jaleo brings to the table crusty bread with olive oil and keeps it coming, at La Tasca that was never offered, not even when asked.
Since I’ve lived in Spain and dined in many establishments, I feel qualified to say that never were gambas al ajillo that spicy hot and greasy.
The service was not up to par. The waiter was slow to come to the table.
The boquerrones were the smallest I’ve ever seen.
The music was very loud and we could hardly hear one another.
On a positive note, La Tasca was filled with colorful decor and potential for atmosphere.
Two stars.
