Out of work and there are no jobs…let’s go to King’s Park and get out of the house.
Technically it’s winter here, and it’s kinda hard for a Marylander to think of going to the park on a winters day, and to see flower yet? But find flowers we did, and it felt like a prelude to spring. These are only a few of the many flowers putting on a show today.
Well you can’t see the flowers much at the entrance, but there were plenty to come. Life lesson learned here? Don’t wait for the young mommy pushing her baby in the stroller, drinking her coffee, and on her phone to move out of the way ever. Even though she gave a few pushes and talked away, she was only teasing she was never going to move. So take the photo and cut her out later.
But first to stop for a Silver Princess leaf with the sun shining through.
Pimelea physodes , commonly known as Qualup bell . One of my favorites. In fact, I seem to like all the bell shape flowers.
Verticordia grandis – Scarlet Featherflower
Magnificent Prostanthera -Prostanthera magnifica. I took this photo for Georgie, it has two shades of purple!
Darwinia
Leptosema Aphyllum
Melaleuca fulgens, commonly known as the scarlet honey myrtle, another favorite of mine, for this color!
Wickham’s Grevillea – Grevillea wickhamii
Wilcox Bush -Eremophila forrestii
A pause to look out to Perth below from Kings Park with a Boab tree.
Prominent Vein Grevillea, Vein Leaf Grevillea
Banksia pulchella, commonly known as teasel banksia
Banksia ilicifolia – Holly-leaved Banksia
A new favorite, Southern Plains Banksia – Banksia Media
Lambertia orbifolia – Round-leaf Honeysuckle
Eucalyptus pyriformis x macrocarpa ‘Nullarbor Rose’
Darwinia meeboldii – Cranbrook Bell
Darwinia oxylepis, commonly known as Gillham’s bell
Beautiful day to get out of the house.
