Before church we had a morning bushwalk, after church, we went for a drive. We ended up at a place called Christmas Tree Well off of Brookton Highway.

We spotted a jug orchid.

Look around in the woods, it’s hard to believe it’s winter here.

Yet another kind of donkey orchid from this morning.

A dainty little blue orchid all by its lonesome was a nice find.

We also found the tiniest spider orchid we’ve ever seen. Normally they are almost knee high.

While there, I always like to pause and take it all in. I am sure John takes me to parts of Australia many people never go.

I also stop and look at his car that has taken us to a lot of crazy places. We will be getting a new one soon. I suppose I am going to miss it.

More jug orchids in the sun.

One or two jug orchids is not uncommon, it was sure different for me to see them in such a group!

Sundews, a carnivorous plant, this one has trapped something.

Time to head back to Perth. A beautiful day together. We didn’t think about computers or what car we had to buy, we just enjoyed our day.
I don’t want you being all sad and missing my old car
I rang the car yard and told them we are not buying a new one
