A Day in Avalon
Avalon Area of Patapsco State Park that is.
Enric, Miranda, and Silas are still in town. Enric and Miquel decided to go mountain biking and Miranda and Laura went hiking. I got to spend some time with Silas.
Silas climbed mountains at the playground there.
Here, I show off my great grandparenting skills as I take photos of Silas falling off a swing. 🙂
Next, we thought we’d impress Mr. Dolphin (or as Silas calls him, Dolph), and show him Silas hugging a tree.
Later we headed to the river, and Silas found a great place to play.
Throwing rocks was fun!
Silas found a great big rock and was very happy.
Upon leaving the park, I got to get a closer look at the Thomas Viaduct. It was completed in 1835 and is the world’s largest multiple arched stone railroad bridge with an arc.
