Miquel’s Birthday (part 2)
My children seem to have been blessed with a mom who doesn’t just believe in a birthday “day’. It always somehow stretches into a “birthday month”. They don’t seem to be complaining.
The first celebration Miquel had for turning 16 was basically just the family. Yesterday, we invited a few dozen of his friends for a ‘real’ party.
Some family came, and that was wonderful to have his cousins here. Mike and Steve spent the night prior to party day, and they came in handy to help with the table and such.
Here are Steve, Miquel and Mike posing while we wait for the guests to arrive
After a few snacks and almost everyone had arrived, they took to the basketball courts near our home. The weather wasn’t totally on our side, but that didn’t stop them.
Andrew gave us our first casualty, a jammed finger.
Could have been another casualty here, but I think all was OK

Mike, Ross and Andrew pose for the camera…pose as what, I don’t know. 🙂
Back at the house, the party of mostly boys put away nearly 4 large pizzas
Our church’s youth pastor, Pastor Caleb “crashes” the party. 🙂
Nathan, smiles for the camera (I asked him to)

Miquel shows a funny card
The lovely Cassi, rather brave to be nearly the only girl amongst all those boys!

It was a wonderful day. I suppose one of the highlights was Ross singing, “Magical Trevor” 🙂
Perhaps I should hold the video for ransom. What will you pay me Ross not to post it here?
….. umm, how much do you want? >_>
