Flea Market
In the first time, in my adult life, I went to a flea market today. I think as a child I remember once going with Chris and her family, but as an adult, this was indeed a first.
I went because Jenny and her mom were setting up to sell some things and Laura jumped in to do the same with them, I wanted to see what it was all about. Miquel provided muscle, and apparently some excellent salesmanship. (I’m not surprised)
I got there perhaps a little late for the early morning action, but that was OK, I found a lot of parking spaces.
Not sure I expected to see fresh fruits and vegetables.
I finally found where they had set up. They had cute little Home Depot aprons on to hold the money and change. They were also enjoying snowballs.
Flashbacks of New York…
Jenny and Miquel taking a break from working hard.
I used to go to flea markets all the time as a child. Back then everything was “used”. These days much of the stuff is “new”. I miss the old days where “another mans junk is another mans treasure”.
